Young Zay | YZclothing is a passion project that will live on after I’m dead and gone..
On September 24, 1992, Isaiah Goss was brought into the world. Little did he know how much impact he would have on the lives of others around him. Isaiah always showed motivation, true faith, determination and a desire to be the best at everything he did. He had many goals and aspirations for himself. Isaiah was also a true and loyal friend to everyone he came across.
In the summer of 2010, June 21. Isaiah’s life was taken from this world at the age of 17. The day of the funeral there were over 300 close friends, family, coaches, and others who had met Zay just once. Many traveled far and wide to attend the services. The church was packed wall to wall, and people were waiting outside since there was no more space inside.
If one person can bring that many people together by passing away, think what he could’ve done if he was still here today.
YZ Clothing was started in the memory of Isaiah. YZ stands for “Young Zay.” Zay was taken from his family at a very young age. He will never be able to graduate from high school or continue to pursue his dreams. As his loving older brother I took it upon myself to start a clothing line in his name. Losing my brother to gun violence opened my eyes in many ways. I do this for my brother and our family. In my mind he is the true owner of YZ Clothing, and his name will live on through YZ fashion.
